IMAGINE
  • Decentralized Finance (DeFi) stands for a new financial paradigm that aims at disrupting established financial services ecosystems. While traditional finance relies on geographically co-located hubs and financial institutions booking on separate balance sheets, DeFi offers financial services as smart contracts, which are immutable, executable software programs that reflect an agreement between parties and are deployed on-top of distributed ledger technology (DLT).
ENGAGE
  • You will be trained to empirically analyze emerging decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols.
  • You will part of and learn from a team of experienced cryptoasset analysts.
  • You will support during the prototypical implementation of the analytics procedure and you will report the findings.
ACHIEVE
  • The goal of this master's thesis is to investigate the role of DeFi protocols in a larger cryptoasset ecosystem.
  • You gain experience in the area of cryptoasset analytics.
  • You train scientific working and have the opportunity to discuss experiences with scientific experts.
Your qualifications as an Ingenious Partner*:
  • Master studies in the field of Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or equivalent
  • Interest and demonstrated knowledge in Cryptoassets and Distributed Ledger Technology
  • Data Science Tools and Libraries (Python, R)
  • Very good knowledge of either German or English (fluent in spoken and written)

What to expect:
Minimum of EUR 779,25 gross per month for 20 hours/week based on the collective agreement. There will be additional company benefits. You will be part of our international Young AIT network. As a research institution, we are familiar with the supervision and execution of master theses and we are looking forward to supporting you accordingly
